ESOL

ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES

The ESOL classes are based on the Headway books from Oxford University Press and are offered at all levels, from Beginner to Advanced. The English Access Certificate course in ESOL will develop your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills to the level of proficiency. This will enable you to interact with confidence socially, to further academic studies or enter into the business environment.

The course takes place Mondays to Fridays fron 09:00 - 12:30. After doing a placement test to assess their level, students join small classes taught by experienced and qualified teachers who are dedicated not only to ensuring the student's progress, but to making the learning experience relaxed and enjoyable. Frequent outings are arranged to places of interest in and around Johannesburg.

The course dates for 2010 are as follows:

Term 1: 11 Jan – 4 March;

Term 2: 8 March – 5 May;

Term 3: 10 May – 2 July;

Term 4: 6 July – 27 Aug;

Term 5: 31 Aug – 22 Oct;

Term 6: 26 Oct – Dec 15.
