ACCOMMODATION
Home Stay
When it comes to home stay our main objective is to organise accommodation for students with English speaking host families. These families are carefully selected (through interviews) to offer friendly and welcoming surroundings where the students can exercise their English in a relaxed and casual setting.
Families are always situated in and around Johannesburg but mostly situated near English Access School in Sandton ,which in the northern suburbs ,a safe and secure up market area with beautiful green sceneries. Transport will be provided around town, if not, our public transport is suitable for short distances around town.
The tariff includes two meals per day, bed, desk, social interaction and laundry facilities. Host family accommodation allows foreign students to experience local culture and submerge themselves in the South African way of life. It is an experience not to be missed!
Student residence
If you favour to be independent, want to mix with other students, socialise easily and want to practice your newly acquired knowledge of English at a bar with people your own age, rather than with a host-family, then this is for you.
The recommended accommodation would be a Student Residence, also situated in the in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg. An area which is suitable for young people and offers lively entertainment enjoyed by persons that would like to be involved in an social environment. So should you prefer an active night life visiting bars, night clubs etc. a student residence would be most suitable.
Offers various styles of accommodation including small dormitary, single accommodation and en-suite rooms. The kitchen has everything you need and there is a large BBQ (Braai) if you prefer.
It is mostly our younger students whom choose the Student Residence.
Other accommodations
Bed and breakfast
Enquire with us and we could accommodate you in a Bed & Breakfast for almost any budget. There are a number of B&B’s in walking distance to the English Access School or alternatively you could use a bus or taxi.
Hotels
If you have a bigger budget and prefer more luxury and, you can choose between a number of hotels. 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotels all situated within the Sandton CBD a close distance to the English Access School.
